Tell us about your practice.
We founded liim.co in 2020 as an extension of our design studio, liim.studio.
As a startup, we were often overwhelmed by the pace and intensity of networking events. But hosting get-togethers for our friends always felt so easy in comparison!
So... Inspired by the wholesome simplicity of intimate dinners and game nights with friends, we sought out to re-create that same atmosphere in networking & team building for others with our Co-workshops.
Who are the people behind the brand?
We're Michelle & Andrea, Co-founders of liim co.! We met during our time at Central Saint Martins, where we had classes together. We slowly started working on a projects collaboratively! By the end of our degree, we decided we wanted to start a business and creative practice together!
Tell us the products you are selling at the winter market.
We normally design workshop activities for teams and so we wanted to play around with a product that would be accessible to a wider audience! Reflective question cards have been an important part of our co-workshops and we came up with an idea for a series of prompts designed to be used while journalling!
The end of the year is always the time where people come up with their new years resolutions, but we believe that it's important to slow down and reflect back on everything you achieved during the year no matter how big or small! Taking a moment to be proud of yourself and recognise your own wins is so important, it builds the habit of seeking validation from yourself & not others!
We definitely want to create more products like this in the future! liim co. is all about finding belonging in our pursuits — and everyone is on that journey. We want to be able to not only create for teams & communities, but individuals too!
If 2020 was a food.
For us, if 2020 was a food… it would be daikon! In this past year, we were all pushed back to go back to basics like the humble radish. We soaked the confusing, flavourful broth of 2020 and made silver linings out of what we were given! We've learned so much this year and met so many amazing people! What we've created at the end of 2020 is a well simmered daikon that will gleam & glisten into 2021!
